PC: What are your name and age, and how long have you been natural?
T:
My name is Tailani, I'm 17. I have had curly hair since I was born.

PC: Why did you decide to go natural?
T:
Here in Brazil, women are obsessed with the use of hair straighteners and processors. I always like to be different, so I never put any chemicals in my hair, the color and the curls are 100% natural.

PC: How do you feel about your hair?
T: I feel proud and happy being a standout when it comes to natural hair. I would not trade my hair for anything.

PC: What products do you use?
T: I use the full line SEDA-Curls Behaved, here is a great line in Brazil.

PC: What is your hair care routine?
T: In the bathroom I comb my hair with a wooden comb (must have wide teeth). I dry my curls with a towel by pressing my hair, then I comb with my fingers, and let my hair dry naturally. And I wash it three times a week, every other day.

PC: What are your favorite hairstyles?
T: I like it loose, but I like to use accessories like artificial flowers, ribbons and scarves.

PC: What has been the hardest part of your natural hair journey?
T:
It was the transition, it had no kind of cut, so I decided to cut it into a round afro. And at first it was difficult to adjust to people's opinions about my new look. But now I love my hair, and many girls with straight hair already told me they wanted to have hair like mine.

PC: What was your proudest natural moment?
T: It was seeing people praising and asking if my hair was real and seeing girls wishing to have hair like mine. And I feel fortunate to be a good example of natural hair care as well. I feel proud and I take care of my curls.

PC: What tips/suggestions do you have for other naturals?
T: For those who want to give more movement to your curls get a  professional cut to make it well rounded. Hydration is essential, so make it every few days. Take care of the hair with lots of love and affection, and I leave a tip: take without fear your natural curls. The natural beauty is the best.
