PC: What is your name, age, and how long have you been natural?
Y: My name is Ylenia and I am 14 years old, but most people tell me that I look older. I've been natural for my whole life and i don't regret it, although sometimes it was hard being natural.

Today I rocked a good old undefined puff! Check out my last two puffs, the bantu knot-out puff and the twist-out puff. Hair Talk: Not Natural Enough?
Monday, March 12, 2012

Johnetta asks:
I've been "technically" natural all my life. The only chemicals I've ever had in my hair were highlights and an allover color, both years ago. The other day at work, I wore my hair pulled back in a puff and was told by more than one natural that I wasn't "natural enough". Since when was having your curls pulled back not being natural? As bad as it seems, these are the same people who I've gone to for advice since I have just started wearing my hair more naturally about 3 months ago.

Tip: Banding Natural Hair To Stretch Out The Curl Pattern
Friday, March 2, 2012

Another great method of stretching out the tight curl pattern of natural hair without using heat is by banding the hair. Banding is simply using small hair elastics or hair bands along a section of hair. The section will be held stretched by the bands, and will thus leave the hair stretched when taking the bands out of the hair. Banding the hair can give roughly the same results as a blow dryer.
