Simple Summer Styles Featuring The Lilla Rose Flexi-Clip

  The Lilla Rose Flexi-Clip is a patented, one-piece hair clip that works in all types of hair, from baby fine to extra-long and thick. It comes in seven sizes, which allows you to do a variety of elegant hairstyles! It is great a time-saver, because you can do your hair beautifully in only seconds and be ready for the day! Plus there isn't any unnecessary pulling on your hair. 

 I was contacted by Lilla Rose to review one of their gorgeous Flexi-Clips! I decided to review their clip while featuring the clip in some cute, fun, summer natural hairstyles that take less than 5 minutes to do!

I got the Charming Rays of Sunshine clip in Extra Large.

To install the clip, simply slide the sliding pin between the hair or place a section of hair between the sliding pin and the beaded wire (like you would a barrette clip.) Then, bring the sliding pin through and above to secure it against the beaded wire. The sliding pin has three grooves. If you have a lot of hair in the clip, you can adjust the clip on these grooves to make it bend to accommodate more hair.

For my simple summer styles, I started with my hair in a twist-out. I will be posting my twist-out tutorial/technique soon, so stay tuned for that! I used the Flexi-Clip to hold and accent the styles. I also used a couple of bobby pins for extra security on some of the styles.

Style 1

For the first style, I held the back and sides of my hair up toward the top of my head. I secured the back/top with my Flexi-Clip, and secured the sides with some bobby pins by pinning them up toward the top of my head.

Style 2

This was a simple side-swept style. I smoothed up my hair on one side and secured it with the Flexi-Clip.

 

Style 3

This is a very simple half up/half down style. I simply took a large section of hair from the front and secured it back with the Flexi-Clip, leaving the rest to be free!

Style 4

This is a low ponytail made by gathering the hair toward the nape of the neck and securing it with the Flexi-Clip.

Style 5

An updo done by gathering the hair as your would a ponytail, then securing it with the Flexi-Clip. I loved how there was no stress on my hair as there might be with a regular ponytail!

Style 6

And of course, we can't forget the side 'do as well!

Overall, I thought the Flexi-Clip was great! It makes styling so simple, and yet your simple style can still look polished and gorgeous! It is also stress-free. Gathering your hair up for a ponytail can be done using the Flexi-Clip, and you don't feel that pulling pressure as you might feel with a regular ponytail.

One thing I had an issue with was the metal centerpiece in the front of the clip. It got snagged on my hair a few times. All of the Flexi-Clips have the metal centers, so that's something to be careful about.

I love my Lilla Rose Flexi-Clip! It adds uniqueness to the most simple styles, and is very easy to put in and take out (besides the occasional snag in my hair.) If you've got very little time to do all of the complex natural hairstyles, but you still want a cute look, I would definitely recommend the Flexi-Clip. It keeps styling simple, while accenting the style in a very unique way.
