High Bun With Sideburn Ringlets

Thursday, July 12, 2012

Here is a very simple style I rocked this week! It was very hot and humid, so I thought a bun style would be great!

This style is ideal for those with medium length or long hair. If you have enough hair to make a ponytail, you should be good! I stretched my hair out using the banding method to get as much length as I could for the bun.

I gathered my stretched hair into a very high ponytail using a hair elastic, leaving two pieces of hair out by my ears for the ringlets. I then pinned the ends of my hair down with bobby pins around the base of the ponytail to create the bun. Use more bobby pins to pin up the shorter hairs in the back if needed.

I used Curlformers to curl the remaining pieces of hair by my ear for some cute ringlets! I spritzed the sections with a bit of water and used some Morrocco Method pomade for hold.

Love it! But I am biracial, and my hair has the curl of an african american woman's hair, but the texture of a caucasian womans hair. Wonder if this would work...

Thank you MsBella! You wouldn't know unless you tried! :)
