Side Sock Bun With A Pompadour

Friday, April 6, 2012

Here's a cute and simple style I'm rocking this week!

This was done on stretched hair using the banding method. Check out my banding tutorial here. I took a section of the front of my hair for the pompadour. I put the rest of my hair into a low side ponytail, then made a sock bun. I'll be posting a tutorial tomorrow so be on the lookout!

I then loosely pinned the front section of my hair to the side for the pompadour. This is actually a very old, undefined flat twist-out, which is why you can see a wave. You can do whatever you want with that front section of hair, whether it's a flat twist-out or a braid-out or just letting it be, for any kind of look you want.

The flower clip you see above is one I actually made! I'll have to post a tutorial soon.

This flower below (not sure why I changed flowers mid-day) is one from Shades of Us!
