Scent: This shampoo has a strong lavender scent due to the presence of lavender essential oil. The smell doesn't bother me, but it might bother those of you who are sensitive to strong scented and perfumed products.

This is actually one of the first shampoos I began using in my natural hair journey. I was using it way before I started this blog.
This shampoo is clear and lathers very well. It definitely gives my hair and scalp a good clean. However I find that my hair feels a bit stripped after rinsing.
I find that a good conditioner moisturizes my hair quickly afterward and the stripped feeling disappears. When I condition my hair it feels as though it was never stripped.

This shampoo is sulfate-free, which is a big plus for me, and it does its job. Even though it strips my hair, using a conditioner afterward reverses the stripped feeling and I haven't noticed any more breakage than before using this shampoo. I also love the price. I buy the 32oz on Amazon. About $20.00 for a whopping 32oz sounds good to me. That's about $5.00 per 8oz!
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5
Although the stripped feeling doesn't feel great, a good conditioner will reverse that feeling immediately. I also gave it a bit of a higher rating because of the price.
I purchased this product with my own money. All opinions are my own.

I have the conditioner that goes with that shampoo and it works wonderfully. I was scared to get the shampoo because of the same thing that you experienced. LOL. I found Avalon by mistake in Walmart on clearance one day. The review was awesome. Thanks for sharing!
