PC: What is your name, age, and how long did you transition?
D: Hello there, my name's is Deborah but my readers and friends all call me "Debz". I'm 31, and I have been fully natural since July 2011 after transitioning for 13 months.
PC: Why did you decide to transition?
PC: Why did you decide to transition?
D: I was natural for 5 years but wore my hair straight, when I moved back to my native country my hair wouldn't do anything so I permed it. My hair broke off and at that moment I decided that I was going back to natural no matter what my hair looked like.
PC: What products did you use?

D: I used Giovanni Smooth as Silk Shampoo and Conditioner, Aussie Moist for deep condish, Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, and coconut oil to seal.
PC: What was your hair care routine? How did you deal with the two different textures?

D: Transitioning styles were mostly bantu knots, roller sets and half wigs. I washed once a week and aired dried making sure I ALWAYS did a D.C.without fail.
PC: What were some of your favorite transitioning hairstyles?
PC: What were some of your favorite transitioning hairstyles?
D: My 2nd most popular post on my blog is the bantu knots post, it was my "go-to" style during my transition and a great way to blend my two textures.
PC: Can we see your transitioning progress?
D: Sure. I mainly did bantu knots, roller sets, & half wigs. I did chop a lot of my permed ends off in the form of a bob right before I did my big chop.
PC: What was the hardest part of your transitioning journey?
D: The hardest part was when the new growth got longer. I grew tired of blending the two textures at that point.
PC: What tips/suggestions do you have for other transitioners?

D: Do NOT give up! I know it's hard going through the "creamy crack withdrawal" but keep your goal in mind. The end result will be so worth it :-)
