Review: Blended Beauty Sleeping Caps

Saturday, February 25, 2012

Product Line: Blended Beauty

Price: $19.99

Description: The Cute & Comfy Sleeping Cap is adjustable to your hair size/amount or can accommodate curlers. It also opens at the top to allow pineappling, letting long hair, dreads or braids to hang loose, if desired. The long lasting elastic is comfortable and does not touch the skin. It is easy to slide over hairdos from above or below. See directions below.

Fabric colors and patterns are limited and subject to change. Hand-wash and lay flat to dry. Did you know that satin is 100% polyester? This fabric is a soft and smooth polyester/spandex mix, for a better fit and endless comfort.

Sizes: Large sleeping caps are for ages 8 to adult.(Hairline circumference of 20.5" or more). Small sleeping caps are for kids approximately age 3-7. (Hairline circumference of 17.5"-20") Some kids have large size heads, so please measure.

Directions: The nightcap is adjustable due to the drawstring at the top. For bigger hair loosen the string as needed. There are three ways to put on the sleeping cap. First, simply slip it on like a hat over your hair. Or secondly, you can untie the back and open the top of the night cap, then slip it down over your face to sit around your neck. This allows you to do your hair, whether in a bun, rollers, braids or anyway you like to sleep. Then you can slide the sleeping cap up over your face and hair, then close the drawstring at the top. Thirdly, you can slide the nightcap up over your face and tie the drawstring closed with your hair falling through the top hole. This choice is great for long dreads, or braids. Please remember to keep the drawstring out of reach of children.

Recommended for all hair types. Made in Canada!  Wash your cap regularly. Not meant for use on soaking wet hair.

I was very excited to try out the sleeping cap! When I looked at it on the website, I could see that it had a drawstring that you could adjust in case you wanted to leave some of your hair hanging out (perfect for my puff!)

Here's how it looks laid flat.

The front of the cap

The drawstring on top

Once you pull the drawstring on top, it will cover the top of your hair as much as you want it to.

I simply slip it over my head as I would a shirt, so that the cap is around my neck.

I then slide it up until the cap is at my hairline. You can see that it is still loose and open in the back.

I then pull the drawstring to close the back. I can then tuck the rest of the drawstring under the cap.

Here's how I wear the sleeping cap when I'm rocking a puff. It's perfect for leaving the puff out of the cap!

This sleeping cap is so comfortable, and does not come off my head at night! I would definitely recommend it! This is an adult sleeping cap, but Stacey of Blended Beauty also sells sleeping caps for children!

That is so cool! I bet you could wear it out during the day as a scarf with your puff, with a few adjustments :-) The adjustable top is a great idea
