Claims: Certified Fair Trade, sulfate-free blend of shea butter soap and plant extracts gently cleans scalp and hair without stripping natural oils. Directions: Massage onto wet hair and scalp; rinse well. Always follow with a Beautiful Curls Leave-In Conditioner. Beautiful Curls shampoos are concentrated - less is more. Repeat shampooing step if necessary to remove all previous styling product residues.

Consistency: Thick Liquid

Scent: Raspberry. Very sweet!

 I separated my hair into six sections and shampooed my hair one section at a time. This shampoo lathered up so nicely! It made my hair and scalp feel clean without stripping it too much. Definitely an awesome shampoo!

Curl Activating Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner

Price: $12.00 for 12oz

Claims: Light, leave-in conditioner formulated with Certified Fair Trade shea butter and virgin coconut oil to hydrate hair and improve softness and elasticity. Fresh herbal extracts of chamomile and yarrow sooth and calm the scalp, enhances natural highlights and help normalize scalp oil production. Natural minerals and vitamins smooth the cuticle, aid the removal of tangles and improve shine for beautiful, frizz-free waves and curls.

Directions: Apply generously to clean, wet hair. Smooth from roots to ends until fully absorbed. Works best with Beautiful Curls Shampoos. Use wide-tooth comb on troubled sections.

I used this conditioner right after shampooing my hair. I applied it to my hair in the same six sections that I washed it in, and left it in my hair without rinsing. The conditioner immediately made my hair feel nice and soft! 

 I set my hair into some two-strand twists using the conditioner, along with a bit of the Curl Activating Cream for a bit of hold (review below) and got a lovely twist-out!

Unfortunately, my hair hadn't dried all the way and was still a bit damp, so instead of rocking a defined twist-out puff, I fully separated the pattern for a full, fluffy, and textured look. My hair still remained very soft!

Shea Butter Curl Activating Cream

Price: $14.00 for 8oz

Claims: Rich, creamy emulsion of Certified Fair Trade Shea Butter, herbal extracts and plant gels hydrate and elongate your curls for soft, maximum definition. With natural vitamins for shiny, lustrous, long-lasting curls. Great for finger styling, twist and braid-outs and coiling on naturally curly to kinky hair.

Directions: Apply quarter-sized amount to wet or damp hair in sections, smoothing from roots to ends. Style as desired (twist, coil, braid, finger-style) and let dry naturally. Use diffuser for added volume.

Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) Extract (aqueous), Arnica (Arnica montana) Extract (aqueous), Certified Fair Trade Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Aloe Vera Leaf Gel (Aloe barbadensis), Agave Nectar, Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Behentrimonium Chloride, Panthenol, Potassium Sorbate, Guar Gum, Xanthan Gum, Coconut Oil (and) Rubus idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract (and) Ylang Ylang Flower, Citric Acid.

Consistency: Medium

Scent: Still raspberry!

I actually first used this cream quite a while ago, back when I was rocking my mini twists. I used it to give my twists a bit of curl definition at the ends. It did a wonderful job!

I also used them to set my two-strand twist bantu knot-out bangs on my mini twists. I got awesome hold!

As I stated above, I had also used the cream on my twists for a twist-out with great hold, and it did an awesome job of that too.

Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 for everything

An awesome combo of products! My precious curls and I loved each of them!
