Little Natural: Maya Penn

Meet Maya Penn, an 11-year-old entrepreneur and the owner of the shop Maya's Ideas!

 I have an 11 year old daughter named Maya Penn. She is an entrepreneur, artist, and animator, and she owns her own online shop called Maya's Ideas.

PC: What products do you use on your little natural?

 For a detangler, I use Kinky-Curly Knot Today organic curl care, I use 100% Pure Honey Coconut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner, and twice a week I make my own mixture of Jamaican black castor oil, coconut oil, and avocado and rosemary oil, and hot oil Maya's hair.


PC: What is your little natural's hair care routine? 

I use my own mixture of shea butter, coconut oil and other essential oils. I always use a wide-tooth comb, use a leave-in conditioner and braid her hair.


PC: What are some of your little natural's favorite hairstyles?

Absolutely natural. :)

PC: How does your little natural feel about her hair?

Maya hands down loves her hair!
 

PC: What tips/suggestions do you have for parents of little naturals?

Always try to use organic and natural hair products! STAY AWAY from sodium lauryl sulfates, parabens, alcohol, and mineral oils as they can damage your hair. 

Maya is so beautiful! She is not only a natural hair inspiration for young girls (and older girls like me!) but she's also an inspiration for small business owners.
