This style is inspired by Alex of The Good Hair Blog! Check out her cinnabun updo here.
I just love how cute this came out! Here's how I achieved this look.
I set my hair into about 35-40 twists using Blended Beauty Curl Quenching Conditioner (my review here.) The next morning, I unraveled the twists for a twist-out.
I parted off a section in the front for the cinnabun. With the rest, I smoothed out the front and sides of my hair using this method. I pulled back the rest of my hair using the faux puff method. Instead of pushing the headband upward, I pushed it toward the back.
I smoothed out the section of hair and twisted it toward the back, pretty close to the root (a little closer than you see in the picture).
I then sort of push the hair forward to create the "crease" that you see. I used some bobby pins to pin down the tail of hair left behind the "bun".
I separated the twist-out to give my puff a fuller look.
I love how mine came out, but Alex's version is so much awesomer :) Check out Jamila of For the Fabulous and Frugal's versions of the cinnabun updo here and here too!
