Princess is a 5 year old biracial girl mixed with Black & White. As young as she is, she's very into her appearance. She loves makeup (play make up of course), polishing her nails, and having her hair done. Aside from that, she loves to read, learn various amounts of subjects, and listen to all kind of music! Princess is a well mannerable child who loves to be treated like a Princess!
PC: What products do you use on your little natural?
I like to try a lot of different products (of course not week after week), but as of now we are shampooing and conditioning with Herbal Essence Hello Hydration. I use Soft & Beautiful Just For Me 2-in-1 Conditioning Detangler to detangle...this product works EXTREMELY well, especially if your child hair gets tangled easily after washing/conditioning. For style, I just tried a new moisturizer called 'African Pride Dream Kids Olive Miracle Oil Lotion', which definitely helps with brushing the hair when styling.
PC: What is your little natural's hair care routine?
Every two weeks I normally wash, condition, detangle, and style in the same day. Before she goes to bed, I usually remove all hair accessories so her hair and put something over her hair. The next day I style using AFDKOM Oil lotion.

PC: How does your little natural feel about her hair?
My daughter loves her hair, however, she likes her hair to be straightened because she always wants to wear it down. I try to explain to her that she does not have 'that type of hair and that she should appreciate all the hair that she does have.' I try to do it in cute little styles that make it appear that it is down w/out having to put heat on it to flattened it.
PC: What tips/suggestions do you have for parents of little naturals?
I think no matter how young the child may be if he/she is aware of their hair, especially their naturally curly/kinky hair they may want to change it. I say encourage your child to love their hair the way it is because somewhere in the world there is someone wishing that they had that kind of hair. It's beautiful!
