You've probably heard of the "bad" ingredients that we should avoid in hair products. Maybe you've heard that we should not use hair products with mineral oil, sulfates, silicones, etc. Many naturals completely shun products containing these "bad" ingredients. But many naturals use products containing these ingredients on a regular. Are these "bad" ingredients so much of a big deal?

I just read this article today and I'm stunned. Not only did this school want to ban dreadlocks, but also hairstyles that included twists, or "twisty hairstyles" as the school calls them. I'll be damned if some school won't let me rock my twists!

My Moisturizing Spritz

I always begin my daily routine by giving my hair a spray of my moisturizing spritz. I use a spray bottle to hold my spritz. You can even use an empty hair product bottle and use a spray nozzle from another bottle if the product didn't have one to hold a spritz.

Rope Twists On My Mom

Last night I did some rope twists on my mom's hair. The difference between rope twists and regular two-strand twists is that instead of just grabbing the two sections and twisting them around each other, you initially wind each of the two sections in one direction (both in the same direction), and then twist them in the opposite direction. I'll have to make a tutorial soon!
